We just had to put one of my mother's dogs down today due to congestive heart failure. I was wondering, and can't seem to find the answer elsewhere, what the drug/chemical they used to euthanize her. They used a sedative first, but the actual drug that stopped her function was purple in color. Anyone know what it is? I'd like to think it was painless, but I'd like to do my own research!
