I would like to rehab a historic home in St. Louis using FHA 203k loan funds. From what I've been told, the contractor often has to fund the project using this program and is paid in a total of five installments from beginning to end of completion. Is this normally a problem or are contractors more comfortable with this knowing the money is in an escrow account waiting to be dispursed?
